So i finally got my pretty much first race... noticed an evo behind me... so i sped up and got in front of traffic so he could pass and come next to me.... we went from the light to about 40 or so(even with flashing lights up ahead) so yea i got completely sideways and didnt hook for ****..... so that sucked.... well after a while we got to another light... we went again and i coulda had him off the line if i didnt lost traction and have to let off for a slplit second... but once he spooled he was gone... but this guy was cool so i accepted all of this... and an evo isnt a ricer to me, nothing was changed on the outside, no fartcan... and he didnt have the ricer attitude cuz i kinda talked to him at the light...

so anyways hes going my way the entire time... im following him, and where flyin.... i notice he gets onto the highway as i wanted to... so we pretty much just gun it and were both doing 140 all the way from bensalem to philly(about 10 miles or so? )... well we try and line up one last time... so i slow down and so does he... i notice he wants from a 40(go figure) so i dont give it at first then i slow down to 40 right next to him and he just takes off and never lets up...

but yea we were pretty much going at it for liek 20 miles.... i just thought it was cool and i enjoyed it.. and i accept defeat.... at least to him and that car....

congrats on the loss. lol EVO's arent a car to sleep on. if they get a chance, they WILL whoop your a$$. congrats again though. lol at least he was cool about it

 

I know a dude who is a spoiled brat, his parents got him a lexus IS300 2003 and a 2005 evo VIII... he raced my 97 GT and won... and now he thinks he's the greatest guy in the world. I told him to go race an 03/04 cobra and then talk smack about mustangs.


The guy is just a lil *****, and he deals drugs so thats where he gets his mod money.


anywho I don't mind losing to people who are legit. Not this fayge... the only cars he has bought himself are OLD beaters that have like 200k miles on them...

also forgot to mention im still not the best driver as i havent been driving manual for that long.. and i had 2 other in the car.. including someone who was 235... o well... its all good

 

Good loss... atleast you lost to a bada** car... lol those evo's and STi's aren't something to underestimate... they can and will whoop some a** like the guy above me said... they are a step slower then a STi - sorry man, none of us will ever take a EVO or a STi off the line seeing how they're AWD, unless theres HUGE driver error...

 

Get some DR's so you can hook and I think you can beat an EVO, but maybe not.

 

i need to frikin start modding.... once i start workin again in a few weeks i will woot..... ugh... its a lil harder to mod this damn cobra...

 

Put some 4.30's in ur car and u'll deff get a better chance of beating him off the line. And with a t-45, with 4.30's and doing 80 mph ur only going to be pushing around 2800 rpm. Those engines love higher rpm's man. None the less good race. I live in the middle of the import part of town and i see sti's and evo's all the time. I cant wait to run one when i get done building my car.
