Not sure what you mean here

Are you referring to welding up the torque-boxes or something different?

Jazzer = confused

Maybe he means welding the control arms to box them in?

If this is the case, I would NOT recommend doing so, but rather get some Jazzer-approved* LCA's instead

You can weld the OEM ones, but won't do you a lot of good, I'm afraid

Depending on what you are looking to do in your ride, you need to make sure that the LCA's you do get, will suite your needs. When you are ready to go, pop back in and revive THIS thread and will be happy to help you with a proper decision

The first question that needs to be answered is "Why do you think you need to do this mod?"

Because you read about it on the internet isn't a good enough answer by itself.

As a hint, if you're not about to pull the LF wheel on launch, you won't benefit much by doing it (if at all). At best, it won't affect the rest of your driving either way, so think about question #1 ↑↑↑ some more.

Once you're pulling wheel(s) and the car starts rolling over a LOT more from engine torque reaction, you've got a different situation and you'll need to do something, which would maybe include some local chassis strengthening as well. Once you fix a known or suspected weak link, some other part then becomes the new weak link (on the Fox platform, that generally means torque boxes).

i dont plan on pullin any tire off the ground any time soon, but i would love to get rid of the wheal hop. ive heard of tork boxes being ripped out as well and i think they have a fairly chep kit in late model mustang resto mag i was thinkin about getting.

Yes... if you plan on launching your ride, you are best to get some TB reinforcements for sure. Pretty sure the LCA must be removed to do this work, so do yourself a favor and get some LCA's suited for your needs at the same time. This will (should) eliminate your wheel hop and may can pull the quads out at the same time as well.
