Cool Suspension Change?

I'm getting ready to switch out engines in my 'Stang. Currently it's a '93 4 cylinder but i want to switch to a 5.0. in switching to a heavier engine, what, if anything, do i need to change about my suspension?

You will need heavier springs, but can just install a spring desinged for a V8 of your model year

While you are there..... have you thought about about a new tube "K"? If so, who's are you considering/purchased and what are your ULTIMATE goals for the car? Street/strip car, dedicated 1/4 mile, open-track or the like?

Yeah, it all depends what you want out of the car. If you're wanting a street-strip car, ironically one of the favorite spring setups for street-strip 5.0s is a swap to four cylinder springs. They're softer, have a bit of a rake with the heavier engine, and they transfer weight better than the v8 springs.

However, you WILL want to replace control arms, shocks, struts, cc-plates and so on... whether you're going drag racing or setting it up for cornering.
