Time for upgrade
My rear shocks have gone out and it's time to replace them. I thought about getting the FRPP "B" springs and replace the stock springs at the same time as the shocks.
Before someone asks, my plan for the 'stang is pretty much to retain stock, as it is my DD and will not see a day of track use (sad, I know). My wife and I like to go on road trips, so something along the lines of a Gran Turismo-type would be acceptable. The really big "gotcha" with doing this is that the 'stang cannot ride like a buckboard and must have a firm (my choice) but compliant (her choice) ride quality.
So, as far as shock choice goes, are adjustable shocks the way to go with those springs. How hard or time-consuming is it to adjust them??
I've had good luck with Bilstein's in the past. Yeah, they're rather pricey, but on our cars, are they a good choice - even though they're not adjustable??
Is there a better spring that will give me a little drop, but not bounce me around??
Bilstein offers a kit that has the springs (which match the "B" spring specs and dampers. Any other kits out there that offer a decent ride quality for the non-racer??
TIA!!
