Default Fuel/ignition problem??

I have an 86 svo, the past month it's been acting up. a few weeks ago I put 93 oct fuel in the car ( I usually run 89 oct low boost no problem) the car would spudder out and die. There would be a lag in power when i would try to get somewhere quick; almost like the car wanted to go, but couldnt. It would spudder and die at stop lights. Yesterday i put 93 oct in and ran for awhile, then it started doing the same ****. this time it was much worse. i would hold the pedal to the floor and it would barely make 2,000 rpms. Im guessing since 93 oct is $3.30 a gallon here in Orlando that no one buys it, and it just sits and collects water maybe. Are there any other problems it could be maybe with the car?

Have you turned your fuel switch to premium?

could be a number of things, the one that comes to mind is maybe a bad injector. When I did my la3 swap I used injectors that i had gotten from the junkyard and had a very similar problem. Took off the injectors had them cleaned and flowed reinstalled and it started right up and ran fine.

so i just changed the fuel filter, and ran it for about 2 hours. It ran much better. didnt stall out at all, however it idles like crap. The rpms surge from around 700 to 1,000. idk what they call it but every now n then the engine will fart. rpms will go to about 700 then back up again. its very consistant. im thinking it might be the tps sensor?

That could be. A bitof a surge isn't uncommon in these cars, both of mine have it at idle, but that seems pretty excessive.

i tested the computer. i came up with code 67. the a/c was off, and the car was outta gear. i did the test with the engine off and on. and came up with the same code.

alright so i figured out the code 67 was clutch/transmission related. AND my stalling problem was due to a original fuel pump that went bad,... i had 24 - 35 psi, i now get 34 - 60 psi with no stalling

You should have 39 PSI fuel pressure with the vaccum line off

idle surge is most likely goign to be your idle air conntroler not your tps, id try puting on a spare idle air controler if you have an extra
