Default help with an engine?

ok guys, so i think i am going to take the plundge and buy a svo, now i do not know didly squate about them but am reallly interested (im a V8 kind a guy), i have the chance to buy a svo that is really close to me, with everything except a tranny and an engine..........how hard is it to get/find a replacment? should i just wait and find a svo all ready running? or other ideas

The biggest factor here is how much is the shell and what kind of condition is it in? Other than that an engine and tranny can be from an SVO, Turbo Coupe, or XR4Ti, and depending on your area can be fairly easily had.

If the SVO specific parts are all there, and the shell isn't all rusty it sounds good. You can probably get an engine and tranny for $400-$500.

SVO pieces to look for:
Entire front end minus the fenders
Taillights
Exterior trim pieces
Wheels
Rear Spats
Window Louvres
Double wing
Shifter **** and boot
Steering pad
"Fuzzy" dash panels

There are a few more, but those are the first to come to mind. What year and color?

theres a gut here in orlando with an engine, trans, turbo, the whole set up for 300 dollars. If i had the money i would have it right now.

Trbopwr is correct. Look for those parts from what I read. Most are expensive to get or only available used. He would be best to ask. As far as motor. Not really a problem. Usually a turbocoupe motor or donor car on e-bay all the time.
