I have an 85 svo that sometimes when you start it it will run really rough at idle. If you try to drive it when it is having this problem you can accelerate and it feels like its not gettnig fuel. If turn the key off and back on the problem will go away and the car will run fine. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?

 

maybe you have a bad map sensor?

 

My silver car does it too, I just assumed it had something to do with the 35#/LA3/cam something or other. Never bothered me enough to try and fix it.

 

ignition switch maybe.
