FUEL STARVED SVO!!!!!!!!

FUEL STARVED SVO!!!!!!!!
I have a 1986 SVO with 40,000 miles that has been stored since 2004.It has been kept on a trickle charger and driven about 5 miles every 2 months. It has always ran perfectly. The charger failed and drained the battery completely.I jumped it and it ran o.k.for about 15 minutes then started surging, then died.If you spray it,it will start, idle, then die.I was told it needed at least 13.4 volts to re-initialize the computer so I installed a new battery. No change.I am an old school points and carb guy and know nothing about computers and injecters so I started at the tank.I installed new fuel pump, strainer and inline filter. No change.I bypassed the inertia switch,no change. My junk Haynes manual says there is a fuel pump relay but it doesn't tell or show you where.I am 60 years old and this is the only car I have owned that has the pump in the tank,so I guess that tells you what I think of post-1975 autos.Could the battery going dead and the fuel system be related?I would be greatly thankful for any help on this Thanks. P.S.-Great idea putting the pump in the tank.Don't install it on the frame next to the tank where it would be easy to get at.Incredible.

If am pretty sure relay is under driver seat. Wiring diagram is here. Mauirce

Edit if needs replace replace with 255 HP/HV pump. Also make sure the rubber hose out of pump is rated for immersion in gas and for FI. If not you will get to do it again as far as the hose.
