Default 84 SVO Electrical Problem

Hi everyone. I am a new SVO owner and it has been great so far but I am having a problem that I hope someone can help with.

My tail lights, dash lights, and front drive lights aren't working but my headlights and brake lights do work. I have already checked and replaced the 5A fuse and the lightswitch but still not working.

It happened one day when I was parked and idling, the lights went out and then i checked the fuse which was and still is a little loose. I messed with the fuse then the lights came back on (YaY success or so i thought). A week or 2 later I had to replace the alternator and when that was all done the lights weren't working again. After that i replaced the light switch and fuse but still nothing.

I really don't want to have to take this car into a shop due to not having the money that they will of course charge me.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Also if it helps for some reason all the lights will work if i carefully position the light switch between on and off.

The light switch is brand new. Do you think it is possible I bought a malfunctioning switch? I did get it from autozone after all.
