Quest for 300 RWHP!
I am shooting for 300 RWHP, I have MSD coil ignition, K&N air filter,Dyno Max mufflers w/ no cats. I was thinking of long tube Headers, JLT CAI, Underdrive pulleys. Would a hand held tuner be worth the money, what kind HP will it give you, what brand. With these mods is it achievable. Thanks for your help

Nitrous would be easy and cheap. Bolt ons are not going to get you there unless you sc it and then it starts to get pricey.

Bolt ons will get you there. as stated above it would help to know what year it is too.

I have to disagree. I am guessing he has a 96, due to his screen name. The car puts out only around 250 stock. How are you going to get 300 rwhp out of bolt ons? K&N = 0 hp, long tubes=maybe 5. Throttle body, mass air, chip you gain a couple hear and there, but do all that and then bolt a blower on and then you see some real gains. Nitrous would give you the biggest bang for the buck, get a 75 shot and you will be way happy with the results.

good start on the mods. you should definatly consider getting a tuner. Sct would be my personal preference. should give a n/a car about 15-20 hp plus it will be able to do various other things such as adjust fuel curves, gear/tire ratio's, and eliminate the check engine light if you are running a o/r mid-pipe

I have a 96 cobra that would probaly have identical horse power as "Hav"
Which is about 265 at the wheels
JLT advertises 16 rwhp, is that bull?
From what i have seen in mags like mm&ff throttle bodies give like 3-5 hp for about 200-400 bucks which is terrible.
As far as long tubes in part 4 or 5 of mods for 4 v mods, they tested long tubes on a 99 cobra and got great results through the entire power band, I know mine isnt a 99 but there not that different are they? they both had exhaust manifolds.
Any idea where to get a good deal on headers?

i have 322 hp and 312 ft lbs. and i have DK motorsports LT headers, with x pipe with stock cat back. a bbk CAI, a bbk 62mm TB, BBK underdrive pullies, A/C delete, PS delete, V10 water pump, valve springs and Ti retainers oh and a super aggressice tune

How much did you pay for your headers and were you pleased with them?
When you say aggresive tune do you mean by a hand held tuner or a computer hook up to your car on a dyno tune?
What mod could you feel the most?
One more thing what year is your cobra?
