yea..........im sort of a newb.........but first of all the GT block is iron (i think) and the cobra block is aluminum, so nothing you can do about that.
otherwise, 4V heads and a supercharger pretty much is the main difference. I am too much of a mechanical nOOb to say whether or not a head swap like this would be practical.

MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE PLEASE STEP IN TO CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

it would not be too hard of a swap, but the only way i can see this swap worth it is if you get the 03/04 cobra cast iron block. the 99/01 blocks are aluminum and wont hold up to alot of spray or boost. unless you build it up with good forged internals.

The96-98 teksid blocks can handle up to 1k hp and there aluminium

No. The teskid block was only 96-98 and POSSIBLY a limited number of 99's. There are accounts of it holding up to well over 1000hp.. Its regarded as the strongest factory block for the 4.6's and better then many of the aftermarket blocks.

It would be an easy swap... its the same demensions and most things are already in the same spot so not much relocation.. I am pretty sure the DOHC has a different wiring harness.. not 100% sure if you would need to swap computer or not though.

PMPFactoryDesigns sells a complete 03/04 cobra motor $4700.00 Remand to ford spec with factory forged part and a 3 year warranty
It includes complete bottom end with water pump, oil pump 03/04 4V cobra heads full of oil and ready to drop in.
Also as far as the wiring you may want to consider a complete 96 GT harness this will cost you much less than a cobra harness, then just burn the chip and power the harness.
hope this helps

its still not a SVT when you do the switch. its better to sell your GT and buy a cobra. one its real, and second youll be an SVT owner
