i am about to buy a 2004 cobra, my old roommate has a friend that is selling his. my buddy says it has side exhaust and it sounds great but i dont know about taking his word for it. im not sure what brand it is but can anyone give me input about side exhaust systems. im looking for an aggressive throaty sound, i want people to say "damn that stang sounds good." if i dont get this car what would be the best system to get the aggressive throaty sound?

 

well who cares what it has on it now. If your looking for something specific your probably going to have to change it ne ways. So why worry?

 

The only side exhaust kit I have seen for the cobra is the CDC one. The other ones say they don't work with the IRS for some reason. I have heard it on a GT and it sounds pretty mean.

 

alright i went and checked the car out today. it does have the cdc set up. it sounds pretty good but he has dogged the car out and he is wanting to much so i passed. [:@] damn spoiled little rich kids cant even appreciate what they have

 

I know Bassani has a side exit system. On their website it's like 750 bucks. I believe Borla also has one for around 700. I heard a 97 cobra years ago with a bassani rear exit exhaust and I'll never forget the sound. It's so unique and exotic sounding. Just the right tone. It was one of those rich foreign guys. his name was achmed.
