Had mine for about 10 months. I love the car.

 

I've had mine for almost 5 years,just got it paid for thank God!!!!!!!!!!!BTW I still love it but it's just screaming out for a S/C or N20.

 

i wouldnt sc it until you have built the motor first.

 

I have a 99 and thats about the same.. As far as the S/C.. Mine will be here on the 3rd of Aug.. Don't need to build the motor just to S/C it.. I'll be sitting at 450 WHP all day long and don't forsee any problems @ those numbers..

 

How many PSi is that? I have been hearing that our motors wont carry a sc for a long while with out a build. Trying to figure it out myself.

 

I'm gonna run 8 lbs. of boost.. I've spoken to ALOT of shops and people with similar cars.. Some people are running 10 lbs. @ over 500 WHP.. I personally spoke to a guy running 10 lbs. on a motor with 90K and have had no problems in over a year and a half..

I'm going a little bit on the safe side @ 450.. My tech believes I can run 425-450 all day long w/o any problems.. Thus, I'm gonna stay with in that and see how things go..

 

I have a buddy with a 97 cobra with a s trim/ intercooled. He is running 6psi i think and putting down 424rwhp. I dont know if that i with the ice in the intercooler though. His motor is stock internals and dont seem to have a problem.

 

O1 Vert Here. 99/01 Motors can run 10 PSI all day everyday with no issues. You looking to go 600HP and better and running huge boost then you need to build the bottom, but all in all the enigine is as stout as they come and can handle moderate boost & 400-450 HP reliaibly with a good tune with stock internals. It's all in the tunning.
