What are yall's opinion on this? The SLP PowerPac from SLP. They say 575 horses. Is that correct? Is it worth the money. I LOVE the sound of the LM I.

I dont think its 575 rwhp. i like slp and they make good stuff. I have their catback on my car and it sounds nasty. i had the xpipe too but it was just too loud for daily driving. It all depends on what route you want to take. 575 seems high to me. Most people dont even make 550 with a ported blower.

575 is what they say on their website. it doesnt matter to me 575 or 550 cuz its still a big jump from the 200 im at right now with my v6. ha ha lol i like loud exhaust and i know this comes with headers, xpipe (i would get with no cats), and cat back, smaller pulley, cai, and i think its a 105mm TB i think thats it. but they do say 575 on their website.

Everything being true, that ~3 grand would be well spent. I have seen people doing some mods on the Terminator engine and getting over 550 horses, so I wouldn't think that you would be way far off with these parts... The parts that really make the difference is the pulley and the MAF meter... If I were you though, I would get some time driving that car with the Terminator engine before trying to add horses. I don't think that you will want more horses at that point. You will though want to do better with getting the power to the ground. The v6 suspension is not made for that kind of power. You're going to need control arms, springs, sway bars, shocks/struts, fatter wheels/tires, and so on. Once you can lay the power down and keep from just doing burn outs (which you can do with a whole bunch less HP then that engine/blower are going to give you), you can begin to think about adding more. I think that you will be pretty busy and broke for quite some time with this project. Does sound like fun though...

They're quoting 575 hp at the crank. That would work out to about 506rwhp without a ported blower using a conservative 12% drivetrain loss. I've seen similar discussions on other forums and all say "No way! I'd love to know how they arrived at that number. With the package as described, they'd be lucky to get 475rwhp. Which works out to about 540hp at the crank. You know what they say. A savvy dyno operator can spit out any numbers he wants. LOL! Just don't believe the 575hp claim. And you'd be wiser to put together your own package anyway. You'll get a better overall package.
