Default Steering Wheel Off Center

I just noticed today that when im going straight the steering wheel is off center, it is tilted towards the right a little. Anyone know why the steering wheel would be off center?

I heard that it could be something as simple as the tire pressure being off or in need of an alignment. It just really annoys me.

You prob just need an alignment. That shoudl fix the issue. Is there any play in the sterring wheel. I am having that issue now. I have like a 1/2 inch of play before the car responds to steering inputs.

yeah mine is like that. Would alignment be something covered under warranty.

I dont think so, I will check it out tonight. I hope its just the alignment, and not some big issue.

Yes, very likely it is the alignment... After doing some work on the steering (replacing some parts) mine was about 3 to 4 inches off center and still driving relatively strait... I thought that something got messed up, but after a wheel alignment it went right back to normal... Unless you have some kind of wicked warranty (one where they do oil changes at no charge) for your car it will not be covered.

Yup, take your car to a good alignment shop, with lazar equipment, and have them "index" your steering and also have them do a "four wheel THRUST" alignment. If there are any additional issues these two adjustments will point them out.
