Okay, so I havent noticed it but my buddy says it does. Sometimes when I start it and then when I dusted him on the highway at higher rpm's it smoked, said the smoke was dark. Anyone elses do this? rings? valve o-rings? Something to be worried about?

 

Just about any car will toss a fog when running at high RPMs.. Have you noticed if your going threw oil at all?

I've seen cars w/ low miles make a smoke when at WOT, including mine.. I could be because your burning oil or but I think its because your pushing such a large volume of air so fast that the car isn't burning the fuel at an efficient rate so you get smoke..

I've been behind new Lexus's and seen them kick it down and get a black puff of smoke.. I think thats pretty normal when running at WOT..

 

are you lossing lots of oil from blow by? like 3 qts per 1000 ,miles? i had same problem.with only 57 k miles on it 99 cobra ,,it took heads off ,it had some much piston rock it was unreal.i had vavle guides done at the sane time.it didnt smoke after that...do this warm motor up.hols rpm at 3000 rpms for 20 seconds then rev it to say 5000 rpms if it smokes like james bond car it needs overhauling. pm me let me know?

Thats normal for n/a cobra's. Everyone i see on the road...when they kick i down it smokes. I know for a fact mine does. Your running 93 octane right....? If you hauling *** then you slow down and turn the car off, chances are there is some unburned fuel in the combustion chamber that gets burned when you crank up the car. Sometimes i notice it on mine.

 

its just running alittle rich if nothing else. Its not a big deal unless your suckin down oil.

 

ok unless your little miss dazy in the cobra. I highly doubt that. Then your going to burn off a little bit of oil. especially if you have over 60k on the motor. But if your suckin down like 3 quarts per 1000 miles like freewilly's 99 then you need a rebuild.

 

wen im haulin butt and am on the deceleration and i leave it in gear, while the engine is slowing from like 4500 or 5000 i get a little white smoke from what my friend said behind me. its not much but it kinda scares me. normal?

 

yeah that is normal when you decelerate like that it builds crankcase pressure and forces a little oil into the intake which then gets burned not a big deal, you can get a oil breather filter that goes where the oil cap goes that should put that to a end.
