Densecharger
I tried to wiggle that piece up but the solid plastic piece is to long to allow the play to have any effect. I think I am going to get an after market strut tower brace without the piece that goes across the top of the motor (I think Kenny Brown makes one) I guess the strut tower brace really isn't that important to me cause I'd rather go fast in a straight line than take the curves but it just bugs me anyway. I got another problem to deal w/ now, I just finished putting it on and the motor sounds awesome (almost like a super whine) but I had some smoke come out the exhaust at startup and the fu#k@ng thing won't rev past 4 grand. What the hell, I thought this was better than BBK? I'm about tired of screwing w/ it though...................Checked all the connections (MAF, Heat Sensor, PCV Valve) and made sure the throttle linkage wasn't messed up.......any suggestions?
Thanks Nomo

thats weird. did your densecharger come with a bigger aftermarket maf? if so, could it be calibrated for the wrong size injectors? is the engine throwing any codes? personally, ide call up and complain, because a new strut tower brace is expensive. you shouldnt have to get a new one if the kit is designed for the stock unit.
I finally got it to go above 4 grand after about a 5 min warmup. I drove it around for about 20 min and didn't have another problem but something wierd happened. I live in Conifer Colorado on the side of a mountain and the car climbed the mountain up to my driveway without me touching the gas at 2 hundred rpm. I have never ever been able to do that (wonder if my Air/Fuel is jacked) The kit is full length but the stock MAF is reused. The car feels comparable to the BBK, maybe a little more upper end. My thoughts on it were that I can sell the BBK (retail $270), buy the Densecharger ($150) and sell the BBK on ebay and make some bucks back and not even have to screw with fiberglass wrap. I guess it is really no big deal, just wanted to see what was so great about the Densecharger most everybody on the forums was raving about. Thanks for your help Nomo, I didn't really feel a diff in cars performance around mountain curves so if anything I lost a few pounds by losing the strut tower brace and that is always good. Maybe in the near future I'll consider throwing an aftermarket one on but the next thing I really want to hit is suspension to get my power to the ground, I hook up well if I drop lower than 3 grand but I know there is definitely some improvement to be made cause I spin like crazy if I drop anything above that. Nomo, did you have any suspension improvements on your cobra before you sold/got rid of it? Don't know the first thing about suspension other than the basics.
thats so weird man
but on my cobra, it had hp motorsport lower control arms. kenny brown jacking rails, kenny brown sub frame connectors, and bbk lowering springs (which kill straight line traction). the car had 460rwhp, so it needed alot more suspension work. had i had the time and money, i would have gone with tubular k member, tubular control arms, coil overs, steeda upper and lower control arms. i really think that would of helped.

From what I understand, the densecharger full kit won't work with a strut tower brace, the only aftermarket tb to maf that will work is a C&L. The pics you saw of the densecharger used with a strut tower brace likely was the meter foward kit that re-uses the stock tb to meter piping.
