I JUST BOUGHT A 94 COBRA WITH 81,000 MILES ON IT AND A WEEK LATER THE CAR STARTED STALLING WHEN DECELERATING AND IT IDLES ROUGH WHEN I'M AT A STOP, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS, THANKS!!!
I PUT A NEW CAP,ROTOR,PLUGS,WIRES,FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER, NOT AS BAD BUT IDLE IS STILL ROUGH, ALSO SOMEONE MENTIONED TO ME POSSILBE VACUUM LEAK SO I REPLECED A COUPLE OF HOSES IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND I NOTICED THAT THE UPPER INTAKE GASKET WAS HARD AS PLASTIC IS THIS WORTH CHANGING OR AM I ON THE WRONG TRACK.
Check your Idle air hose, it should smoothe things out.Is it stalling when you are in gear and decelerating at like 1500 rpms? Or when you roll to a stop in neutral?
It stalls in neutral when slowing down, and it idles rough right after i crank her up, from 300-700 rpm's just as u mentioned.if i put a load on engine such as turn the wheel while i'm parked it will stall. also i'm not sure where the idle air hose is at?
