New rims, need some thoughts!
Just got a boatload of cash, so I'm chromin up the snake. its a 97 bodystyle cobra.
The rims are no doubt going to be American Racing Torque Thrust II. And I dont care how "played out" they are. They look the best.
I need some feedback on the size. right now ive got 17x9.5's all aorund.
I'm thinking 17x9.5 in front and 19x11 in the back.
And yes, I know american racing doesnt make the 19 size, but they do custom forges.
I really want that oldschool muscle look. You guys think a 2 inch difference is too much?
I'm keeping the 11 width though.
Let me know what you all think!
ALSO its already lowered an inch and a half as well.

2" in rim sizes is a lil much i think... also, with it lowered an 1-1/2 what are you going to be running for tires on the 19's? that lowpro of a tire may not fit that old school look your going for, maybe 17 & 18? but to each his own... peace
depending on the tire you pick, u may run into clearance issues without the use of a wheel spacer...dunno if you've made plans for that...are you looking to have the sloped look, or hunker the rear to have it sit level with bigger wheels?...low pro's or something with a bigger side wall...MT's?
Thanks for the suggestion but I've been doing some research and someone suggested FOOSE Nitrous wheels, and I think those are what I'm gonna get.
the two inch difference is for that sloped gearhead look. I'd be running 30-35 profile tires. But I'm concerned that the 17s in the front with the lo-pro might cause a gap between the wheel and the well.
Also if those terminators you are referering to are Ion Terminators or Glance Terminators, they are ugly as hell, no offense.
I am considering 18x7.5 for a once inch difference and a fuller look. Still with the 30-35 profile. I'm not shooting for a straight classic muscle or all out ghetto look, rather a little of both.
The sizing isnt set in stone, thats why I wanted to ask all of you, so thanks all for the feedback!

Not sure how the 17/19 is going to look. If you are going to go with a staggered look you should go with 17x9 with like a +23-+25 offset for the front and 18x10 with a little more aggressive offset range. The x11 is rare and does not make that much of difference. 18x10 is pretty fat. you can run 265/35-17 up front and like a 295-35 or 315-35 out back. (Thats a lot of rubber)Not sure if 1500 is going to get you what you want though. Wheels and tires in that size range are little more $$$ proably 1800-2000. And the Foose wheels alone will run you at least 2g's thats w/out the tires. Hope this helps good luck in your search.
