Default question about stock block...

okay all, so i'm buying an 04 or 03 cobra right when I get outta college pretty much. I'm planning on forging the block and getting forged internals and trying to run dual twin screw whipple superchargers on there....is that an extreme receipe for destruction or power?? lol....thanks, Mike

03-04 cobra's have forged internals and an Iron block stock, I've seen people twin turbo them stock and get 900hp on an everday driver. Those stock blocks are almost bullet proof. You will have now problem running twin screw blower with insane amounts of boost. You can get 600 -700 with the whipple and run it everyday.

um...

1) the manifold required for that would cost a good bit, not to mention idk how your going to support 2 chargers (90*? lateral? on top of each other?)
2) anything over 600-700 hp constant will break you block sooner than later, not a good idea, blocks arnt THAT strong
3) you'd be skating on ice, 500 hp takes responsibility, you wont EVER get traction with instant boost liike that (heck people complain about it with 400)
4) the amount of heat would be insane, idk how you'd make a cooler to keep the temps down to prevent detonation
5) you can make the same power off one of the new 3.4L whipple coming out (probably before you graduate)

but if you decided to get a turbo or even a centri supercharger

1) the boost isnt instantanious, you can keep your foot out of boost and keep it slightly drivable, but have power on tap
2) with a turbo you can get a boost controller and keep the boost down until you need it, making the car a little safer
3) a twin centri would be just as original and a little more managable

Im not sayin anything bad about your idea, original and it be fun to see...but 2x twin screw + DD = trouble, it be a good show car but nothing streetable at all IMO

I'm sorry but anyone who wants or needs a 1000hp daily driver has no sense of reality, especially if you do indeed live in jersey...

sry that i have no sense of reality??? i guess? lol Yea....now thinkin about it iunno...i mean just the new whipple twin screw one of them seem to makes good power. I mean i was thinkin about just doin a whole new fully forged 5.4L with twin centris and twin turbo with the centris feeding into the turbo for no throttle lag and insane power...

edit--you guys are quite more forgiving on my mistakes...thank you
