Default reliability

I know this is a stupid question but my dads getting on my case. Will modding my car with basic bolt ons bring down the overall reliability on my car?

technically i would probably say yes, but as long as the work is done properly and it's nothing too extreme i don't think its anything to worry about.

With bolt ons i would say no. If you get a new cam and/or power adder, I would say yes.

bolt ons no... but if you go go with cam/blower/nitrous i would make sure that you have a good safe tune and you will be fine there.

Most bolt ons can be considered totally safe... but the lower gears will effect your engine longevity due to the engine running at higher RPMs overall... But that is the best bolt on move IMO regardless.

Blowers can be safer then the rear gear swap as long as you keep the boost specific to the internals of the engine... it is RPM that wears an engine not necessarily HP (again it matters how you get that higher HP).

to me the biggest thin is making sure the work is all done properly. any mod can wreak havoc on your car if it is not done correctly
