Default Purchasing a 1996 SVT COBRA few questions

I Really like the car, Im Not new to mustangs, Ive has a 88gt and a 02 GT.

The car already has a couple mods,

Chrome 03 wheels 305's in the rear
Cobra R hood
4.10's
Off Road H
Short shifter
Fresh Clutch
Cold Air Intake

Your average Bolt on mods. What should I be looking out for as far as the condition... I know about the Head gaskets but what else? The car has 100k but I think the owner is real particular about the car.

I wanted a newer one but It really wanted a new 1000 sport bike so i desided to get the bike and a older (4.6)cobra and have the best of both worlds. Is the 96 a good choice?

What about supercharging on that bottom end?
How far can it be lowered on the 03 wheels I want it low?
I dont really like the stock fromt bumper in these years, How does the saleen look if someone can post pictures of their modified cobras maybe it will sway me in a direction.

I don't many of the specifics about the 96 Cobras....but, in general, this was the first year for the body style and motor. So the early production numbers that year may have had some "bug" issues until everything was worked out. However, if someone has 100k + miles on the car.....chances are, you're not dealing with any of those issues.

305's in the rear....make sure you don't have to replace them anytime soon!

Lowest I have ever seen a 98 lowered.....3 inches......get them too low and the nose cone starts to double as a bulldozer (especially with Saleen front end). Good luck with your purchase.

I have two 97s... I love them both... The 96 cobras have the same specs as the 97s and almost exactly the same as the 98 (didn't come with the strut tower brace, which is said to be a crock of sheetz)... Got 3.73, lowered 2", and some other bolt ons... It is a world away from my old 95 GT with 3.73s and a ton of bolt ons... The 2" drop is nice, but you really have to watch what you are going to drive over. I once about tore the car in half when the rear sway bar brackets hit a protruding man hole... I don't think that you will be disapointed as long as the car was well taken car of. It seems strange to me that some old dude would install 4.10s, and that if that is the case, he didn't beat the **** out of it too... What don't you like about that front bumper. It always looked cobra-esque to me...

I accually feel kinda stupid because i don't know them. The guy i bought it from owns his own shop and he built it from the ground up. I know it has heads cams custom intake t/b plenum o/r h flowmasters longtube headers(ceramic coated) MSD ignition ajustable front and rear shocks eibach springs those are original 2000 cobra R rims. ummmm The guy is going to be writing me a list of exactly whats in the car as in brand names and such so when i'm at a car show i can display it. It made 412hp and 376tq.
