Hi guys, I just bought a 95 cobra with a cammed 306 and all the exhaust goodies a couple weeks ago. We had it taken to a local dealership to get it all looked over, left it there for a week while they replaced minor little things. I was out driving it last night and it just stalled goin down the road, it didnt start back up for a while, I no that the cobras had the fuel cut off in the trunk...could that be what caused it to stall? I tried to reset it and dont no if i did. Another thing is an after market security system which cuts off the fuel, we were thinkin that the dealership might have messed with it...?

 

There are tons of posts here about stalling problems with the cobras... It is usually the IAC (idle air control) valve that needs cleaning... does it stall only when you drop the clutch, or have it in nuetral? If so, then that is what it is... several posts explain the process of cleaning it...

bad IAC for the win. If it is stuck closed your car will stall.

 

It did to me couple times actually and it only happened when i was moving with it in gear. It only happened at low RPMs and when i was either off the gas or hardly on it at all.

 

Thanx for the info guys that helped...i fired it up and it sounded alot better so once the snow melts ill have to take it out for a cruise!
