STRANGE PROBLEM

Default STRANGE PROBLEM

1) car keeps draining battery....new battery, charging system checks ok, meter between + and + cable shows no draw...NCF

2) car doesn't turn over...play with clutch/shifter....car starts..only once and awhile.....NFC

Sounds to me like your starter has gone bad and you may need to replace your positive cable....but I doubt it.

I suggest you check out that new Battery. I had that problem once, got a brand new battery and it kept draining, was convinced it was something else since battery was new...I even unplugged the radio and removed glove compartment bulb lol. Well it ended up being that "new" batter was crapped out. Got it replaced and all problems gone. Also if you are not getting a draw and charging is ok then it has to be the battery. Make sure you check charge with a voltmeter at the battery, don't go by your dash gauge due to theres a chance it can be innacurate. Hope this helps.
Forgot another simple test...when problem occurs, have someone try and start the car while you check voltage on battery. Voltage shouldnt drop under 10volts but dont quote me on that.

thanks....2 problems that can be be tuff to pin point.....cables/connections/switches......i need a beer
