1999 Convertible Cobra
Im thinking about gettingthis 99' Cobra Vert its in good condition with 69K miles on it. The list price is $14,500 and blue book on it is
Excellent - 13,735
Good - 12,915
Fair - 11,810
Im not sure if it had the recall done to it or not either. Where should my offer price start? Im not gonna pay $14,500 for it at the most I will pay excellent condition blue book value. Thanks.

RE: 1999 Convertible Cobra
I was in the same situation you are in a few months ago. Finding a Cobra Convertible is pretty hard, especially here in the south is hard and traveling is out of the picture due to my job plus not trusting sellers states away. So after some time, I found one I wanted. A 98 Cobra vert in excellent condition was $12,000, good was 11,000,etc.etc. After talking the seller down, I got it for $11,000, at good condition price. I've seen some people pay more for one and pay less for others. I've learned a lot of people on here wouldn't pay what the cars are worth according to blue book. You just have to go look at it and see what the true condition of the car is. It seems like Cobra convertibles are hard enough to find, so they won't depreciate much. Good luck.

About 15 months ago I paid $15,000 for my 99 Cobra and it had 7,200 miles on it.. You can find a better deal IMO..
Although, I had to hop on a plane and fly across about 5 states before I even got to look at it.. Lucky for me the seller was dead on by saying the car was mint and just never driven.. I could have gotten there and discovered it had been salvaged or something..

RE: 1999 Convertible Cobra
I actually paid $1500 more than that for my '99 convertible, but it only had 16000 miles on it and was nearly flawless. Itis also the electric green w/ black top and leather combo that I wanted andSVT only made like 89 of. I thought the price was a little high when I first found the car, but upon researching it a little on the web I found out that the production numbers on that combo were so low that I went ahead and snatched it up realizing that I would have to search a while to find it again, especially with such low mileage. I would say if the car is in great condition with that mileage it would be worth paying about $13,000.

RE: 1999 Convertible Cobra
I have a 99 cobra vert with a new NOT REBUILT engine and clutch. Never been wrecked. The enging has about 11500 miles and the car is from Florida and has never seen snow! The engine was professionaly installed. The engine was delivered in a crate with zero miles! It was ordered for a 2001 model. The car is very nice and ready to drive. It has flowmasters, convert boot, SVT leather jacket with vin stitched inside and the certificate of authenticity. I can beat the price you have said. Let me know if you are intrerested I am in the Detroit Mich Metro area! Let me know if you are interested. The best way 2 get intouch with me is my e-mail
