2 inches.. avoid ALL speedbumps. Your exhaust will hit everything if the road is not flat. Also pray you dont run over any animals, cause they arent coming out the other side.

yeah...i think my uncle had a 2 in. drop on his GT and had side exits for his exhaust and had to be REALLY careful pulling into a driveway and into a parking lot because of the raise in the ground (sorta o where the sidewalk is)....it was always SO close to hitting or sometimes did hit the ground

just for a little hint, i have my car lowered 1.5 with cc plates, it handles great. But on the other hand my rear shocks are blown out, and the local shop told me that only bilstein shocks fit perfect on our irs cobras. Almost all other brands for rear shocks dont clear everything back there, and eventually blow out prematurely. So im going with the bilstein heavy duty shocks in the rear.

I used the BBK progressive springs, Strange adjustable front struts and Edelbrock IAS shocks in rear for a 1.5 drop all around. I also installed the offset rack bushingstocorrect the steering geometry about1/2 inch and I am currently putting in a set of extended ball joints from the Ford catalog which will also lower the front another 1/2when you don't use the included spring spacers. This raises the level of the spindle level about 1/2 inchwhich helpsthe steeringjust like the offset rack bushings. Total drop is 2 inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear and it feels 100 times better than stock. No rough ride because the springs are progressive and it corners like a go-cart.
