Default Somebody sent me a Message

I deleted it on accident and I just thought I would give you the answer right now. Somebody message me with a question on how to increase there power on their 2001 mustang cobra and here is your answer. If you are looking for some mega power adders (50+ HP) I would either do cams, supercharger, Nitrous,or build your motor with forged internals. If you are looking for some good gains but don't have the money to do heads, cams, internal engine work, or supercharge I would do long tubes, 4.10 gears(not a HP gain but the difference is night and day),dyno tune, or a cheaper nitrous kit (But I would prefer to go big or go home.

Edit: I remember the second part of the question was how to get the power to the ground. Here is a couple of things you can do to really help your car improve it's time.

1) Shocks&struts (bilstein, Tokico)
2) MM Subframe connectors
3) Lower your car (eibach, H&R sport)
4) Upper&lower control arms
5) Poly IRS bushins.

This should dramatically decrease your wheel hop and greatly improve your traction/handling.

Thanks for your time.

alright, seems like you know alot....i just started learning a little about fordged internals.....when you do this, i know it lets the engine be able to handle more hp, but do you actually gain power? (that might be a stupid question but i honstesly dont know lol) and can a stock cobra engine handle a s/c and nitrous? or is that too much power to the stock engine block?

So I found a place in sacramento that will be perfect for my tune but does it make any difference to do the tune before or after my gears or any mods?

You do your mods then get tuned. Gears wont matter with the tune.
