I GOT MY COBRA FINALLY!!! Its been about a year of searching but i found a deal on a 2001 Mineral Greythats in just about perfect condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! I LOVE ITTTTTT!!!! I'm so excited I'm at work right now and I want to go drive it but I'm stuck here. I already know what I'm gonna do to it too!. New H catback with flowmasters, get a new shiny intake, lower it with ebaichs or h&r's, maybe a tint with my tax return. And I gotta get the cobra grill!!!!! Then after that ill see. I'm so excited I just wanted to share my excitment with everyone at the forums.
So anyway I have a question about the air filter. Is there a way I can take the black cover off from around it.

Believe the only way you can do away with the black air filter box (I assume it's still not much different than the 97's) is to invest in an aftermarket CAI or similarly different air filter set up.

Dude, whatever you do, dont repaint that car unless your painting it the same color. That color looks badASS! When you said grey I was kinda skeptical at first, but then I saw your pics and damn, it really looks awesome, especially set off with the chrome terminator rims.
I've got the H-pipe flowmaster setup with the delta 40's. Gives it a really great, meangrowl, and so far (after 2 years) seems to be cop-proof. Havent gotten bitched at yet for them. Congrats man. GREAT looking cobra.
Also you mentioned the grill, I dont know if you know, but they make billet grills with the cobra emblem in them, if thats what your taking about already cool haha,but if thats not your slice of cake the cobra insert is pretty cheap. Theres a topic in here someplace about installation and what to use.
