Default 18X9.5s

I was going to post this in the tires section but it looks like people have already done that with no luck. I just ordered a set of 18x9.5 Steeda Ultra lite II's and I want to know what the best tire size, and tire would be for street and strip. I got an e-mail from them and the guy said 285/35ZR18 would be good all the way around but I want more opinions before I get them.

for strip Nitto NT01's all the way.

Unless you wanna get Mickey T's, but youll need different rims for that.

ive heard nothing but good things about NITTO 555R, 285s will fit nicely but you might be able to go 295, i wouldnt do that all the way around either way though. Get something like 275 in the front

+1 with the 555r's those are good street tires.

The NT01's are pretty mcuh track.. unless you live in a desert. Drive them in rain and you'll probably die. haha. Look em up on google.

Im thinking about putting the Nitto 555 extreme ZR radials with 285/35zr18 in the rear and 265/35zr18 in the front. Would this be a good combo? I have no clue when it comes to tires [8D]And what is the difference between the three nitto 555 tires on steeda? 555 extreme ZR, 555R, and 555R II?

exactly what i had but i had 555R's...no clearance problems, looks and fits just fine. the difference between the three is probably in the rubber compound and use. According to the nitto site, the Extreme ZR is a daily driver tire with good performance, the 555R is specifically for drag racing with a softer tread, and 555R II is a softer tire specifically for road racing.

I have the exact same size and tire on my y2k cobra R's. My car is lowered and the rub just a tad in the front when i turn the wheel all the way but, i'm going with 17's because 18in tires are WAY too expensive.
