Default Help please!!!

I have a co-worker that has a 2001 cobra svt. it has aprox 68k on it. The car over all is in pretty good and clean condition. with k&n intake system, diablo sport tuner, full audio system, aftermarket and factory exhaust. car is blue with swead and leather interior. seller wants 16k for it probably could get it for 15k...the only problem that i have is i cant find many around me for that price range to compare it to. is that worth it???????

I'dhave to say if you can get it for $15K then you'd break even with him, say 12000 base for the car (wear/tear etc etc) plus 250 in mods, 1000 in stereo (just a guess) and 300 for im guessing a cat back. If he's changed the whole interior over to suede (?) then throw 1500 for that work...idk, i'd have to see it and really want it to buy it...oh is it a convertible or coupe?

not for 15-16k. Give him 12k.

anything more is a ripoff, its not even forced induction.

plus mods NEVER total in with the resale value of a car. anyone who trys to sell their car for more cause its modded will have an almost impossible time doing so. If anything, especially with cobras, mods kill the value of the car. (so keep all your original parts.. because no one wants to drive a stock cobra!)

Default cobra or gt?

...it is a coupe not a vert. I thought that 15 is a decent price due to the fact that you cant find these cars around. do u rly think that it is worth only 12?

like i said.. year + mods = depreciated price.

12-13, maybe 14k.

its true 2001 is the last year of the n/a cobra, but im sure you can find an 01 cheaper.
