i just got an 04 cobra and so far all i have done to it is intake, exhaust. how much horsepower do you guys think this car can handle without breaking something lol? my next mod was going to be a 2.93 pulley and a tune. i'm not planning to do more than that. so with those mods i should be around 460 hp's? do i need to do any work to the rear end or internals or anything? or do you guys think i shouldn't worry about breaking anything with that kind of horsepower?

 

those mods will put you closer to 440-450, i got the same mods with a 2.76 upper and am at 447. the car is capable of alot of power i would say 7-800 reliably and more if you're willing to push it a bit. with the power level you're talking about you should have nothing to worry about, just watch the wheel hop and you should be fine, i would reccommend getting a irs diff. brace though. the first thing to go in the rear end is the diff cover and for 125 bux it can be easily prevented.

 

Get a diff. brace, an aftermarket heat exchanger and a good tune and you will be fine. These 03/04 cobra motors are forged and can easily handle 700rwhp with a good tune.

 

the stock internals are good for a little over 700 rwhp. the block itself is good for over 1500 hp. so u dont need to worry. and i would definately suggest a pulley mod. its something that is inexpensive and u will c huge gains from it.

 

I would get a ported blower with the pulley and then get it tuned together.
