Default NOS ?????

If i put NOS on my 04 cobra would it harm my engine at all? You here so many horror stories about people blowing their motors with NOS. If not would it be better to go with the wet plate system or dry? My mods to date are K&N FIPK, C&L inlet pipe, Diablosport predator tune, and SLP LM1 cat-back.

NOS very well can hurt your engine. it has a nasty tendency to build up an *** load of cylinder pressure. i think its a lot safer to go with more boost than even a small nitrous shot. unless you have extra crankshafts lying around.those 03-04motors aretough but not invincible.

i kow several people running nitrous on their 03-04's with no trouble, i say get a good solid dyno tune and keep it around a 125-150 shot and it should be fine.

as long as NOS is used properly there shouldn't be any harm in it. If you go 100 shot or lower you shouldn't have to get a tune but, anything above that I would definately recommend it.

NOS is a brand. Unless you plan on buying a true Holley NOS kit, it's NITROUS!

Shelbycrash - you obviously have no experience with nitrous. How does it have a tendency to build up an *** load of cylinder pressure? It doesn't. You have absolutelyno clue what you are talking about.

When installed correctly and used correctly, nitrous will not harm your engine & your 04 Cobra will absolutely love a small shot of nitrous along with your stock SC. Dyno tune dyno tune dyno tune!

sorry to burst your bubble but i have and still do use nitrous.i KNOW that it puts a lot more stress on your bottom end than boost does, even a small shot.it severly drops the lifetime of your bottom end. iknow the 03 blocks are a lot stronger, but itdoesnt mean you wont be spinning bearings soon. he asked if there are dangers in using nitrous, so i told him, from experience, that there certainly are, which all seems pointless anyway since those 03-04s are a pulley swap away from more boost

this id true but once yo have done that you need something else for more power. one of the guys in my local club was running 10.7 on a ported eaton and a shot of juice never had any problems.

People screw their cars up because they put NITROUS on their cars without getting the proper tuning for it. Get it tuned and you are plenty safe. Plenty of my friends are spraying 100-150 shots on a 2V with all the proper items and a very safe n20 tune.
