Default 04 conversion

Ok, I have an 01 but I really want to get an 04 but I heard that the block I have is stronger in mine than the TT cobras. If so I was thinking of rebuilding the motor with forged internals and just build it from the ground up. Also, I would need to know of a good place to get an 04 body kit (bumpers, wing, side scoops, hood)

not this year, the only difference between the two blocks is alumium (01) vs. iron (04). The 96-98 cobras had a very strong block, but after 99 windsor took over production and made the blocks, which can only hold up to 600ish hp well. But! what you will need is the 03 cobra front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler, hood, side mirrors and wheels. If you really wanted to get picky, you need tail lights and windshield wiper armstoo, as they differ from 01-04

So would it be cheaper to just get an 03-04? And how much power can the 98's hold and how much power can the 04 hold?

ew.. why put a bodykit on an 04? They look amazing stock.

If you absolutely must-- www.cervinis.com

They have the ONLY tolerable body kits for mustangs I've ever seen besides the obvious ones -- roush and saleen.

Otherwise your mustang will look like it has a cowcatcher on the front of it and youll turn a perfectly good cobra into a ricestang.

I think he meant he was looking for 03/04 take off parts to make his 99 look like a newer Cobra.
Cervini's carries stuff, ABC Exclusive does as well. Ford (obviously) is another source, but expect to brake the bank buying from them.

I was going to make my 01 look like the 04 because I thought my block was stronger and I was going to build up the motor with a 2.8 Liter kenne bell but ive just decided to say **** it and just get an 04. Does 25K sound good for a red coupe with exaust, blower pully, underdrive pullies, steeda short throw, CAI, and a dyno tune and it has 15 thousand miles on it.

Well, now I just need to know a fair price to sell my car for. 01 Cobra convertible, true blue, chin spoiler, bassani x-pipe with high flow cats, bassani cat back, K&N CAI, MGW short throw, chin spoiler, 57,000 miles, new tranny (stock tremic),and .5 inch wheel spacers in the rear. I want 20K but I want to be realistic. I live in Roseville CA (right outside sacramento) and they sell for 20K at the dealership stock but im thinking 18,500 is more fair. Any suggestions?

Hey if your going to sell, sometimes it's a good idea to go back to stock because I believe there is more of a market for stock cars than modded ones. I live in the North SFBay so I could trade you some of my stock parts if needed (or buy). But the 01's in norcal seem to be going for around 18,000 from private sellers, but realisticly a little less. I met a guy around here that has been having a hard time trying to sell his for 19000.
