how much hp can i get out of a 2001 cobra

 

unless you forge the internals, youre limited to about 400 (maybe 415) or so before you destroy rings/rods/pistons. The rings/rod/pistons are definitly the limiting pieces in the cobra engines (except 03/04s, which are forged stock).

 

oh ok well i bought a used one and i dynoed it at the rear wheels it has 405 hp

That is a very BIG question. Are you asking about with a stock short block? Anything is possible with enough know how and money.

 

Werd.....what is done to the car? If you've got a s/c sitting on a stock bottomend, you probably not too far from disaster.....

i know a guy here in IL who runs 8psi through a procharger on a stock block 99 with a mild cam making 450rwhp and never has any problems

 

Are the internals different between the 96-98s and the 99s? 450 is pushing it big time...he must have a really good tune.

 

Its all in the tune and i know people on here that are at 450 or more to the tires i am at 436rwhp with a 100 shot i have had no problems for 4 months now and i have put 2 bottles through her
