I have a bassani cat-back on my 04 cobra and one of the cats went bad. so i then decided to take them out and replace them with a straight pipe. i went to advance auto parts and bought aluminum piping to replace the cats. i guess i should have gone to an exhaust shop and gotten better pipes but do you think the quality of the piping would effect the tone of the exhaust?

 

Shouldn't hurt tone that much.....probably just durability of the section (e.g. aluminum vs. stainless steel).
