3.73s ??

RE: 3.73s ??
Definatly worth it. Might want to go a bit steeper like 3.90's.. but, the gas milage won't be much different, but throttle response is incredible... the car is completly different, but like with anything else, if you mow through 1-4 on the 5spd, you will have 1/2 your gas milage, lol

If you do a lot of highway driving.....you may want to stay away from anything steeper than 3.73's. Going 80 on the highway may make you regret anything more. The gear upgrade is definitely worth it though, especially if you are going to be in there anyway.

on a sn body style if you dont drive across the world i would do the 4:30 gears it make the around town driving much easyer and less violant however from stop light to stop light it is hell a fun this is what I would do if it was mine and it was N/A I feel it just makes it so much easyer to drive around town. If it is supercharged then by all means do the 3:90

RE: 3.73s ??
I am glad someone agrees with me.. lol... the way I look at it in most cars... if your going to go 3.73 might as well do 3.90, if your going to go 4.10, might as well go 4.30...
For the record, I drove my GT with 3.90s on the highway, and there wasn't much of a difference... 4.30s will be, but most people that have them say it doesnt make a difference... most of the people that talk they lost a lot of gas milage is because they were enjoying the gears to much.

I've got 3.73's and she hauls ***. The difference is night and day.
If you do alot of highway driving or highspeed driving in general I wouldnt do anything more than 3.90. Just my opinion. 4.30's would be great but youll top out really fast, probably around 125 mph.
PSR, correct me if I'm wrong about that since you had em' in yours, I'm only guess-timating haha.

Yes.. that should be right.
Final gear ratio doesn't determine what speed your cartops out at. Your final drive ratio is still the same, I know plenty of people that do a lot of highway driving w/4.30's... I think it's around 750rpms of difference or so from stock gears, which at a steady cruise won't make really a difference of mpg...
