Here’s a little more on that Ford Focus with the giant hood scoop we showed you a while back. Sources tell us the car our spy shooter caught in the desert was “Project Panama,” a turbocharged version of the standard Focus 2.0-liter four.
We’re told the target for the hot Focus is the Dodge SRT-4, which will pack a 215-hp turbo 2.4-liter engine when it arrives early next year.
No specific word from Ford Special Vehicle Team, but we’re assured they’re doing what it takes to keep competitive in the market.

Isn't the euro Focus RS turbocharged? Well at least thats what I've heard. Also heard that it's a rocket that embarrasses the SVT focus, but then I don't really know for sure. I'm sure it will be fun but it can't even come close to rear wheel drive fun or V8 exhilaration.
Yeah but the SHO will never look as good as the SVT Focus. (and dont tell me how fast it is again. I know its fast but its still a taurus. One of the ugliest cars ever made!!!) LOL
First off this car isnt made for drag racing. Yes you will beat me in a Stang and an SHO drag racing but I guarantee you cant hang with me through the curves. Yes the RS has a 225 hp turbo in it and its still just rumored that the SVT will be turbo in 2004. Kenne Bell is supposedly producing a twin screw for it due out this summer.
