Alright here it is.... ive got a bone stock 03 cobra and i know they are limited to 155 to 160 mph from the factory and are reved limited to 6500 and fuel shut off is at 7000 rpm [:@]neways i have seen these cars do 160 in 5th at 5700 rpms so the question is... how fast is a bone stock 03-04 svt cobra (with tunining ONLY to turn off the top speed and rpm rev nanny) in 6th gear at 7000rpm?

ive heard the mach 1 does around 165-170 so i assume the cobra will do 180-190mph??

Ive never seen a Cobra go above 178

 

The motor can probably handle those speeds, but you won't ever go that fast... not aerodynamic enough. You'd probably wreck.

 

also a little advice..top end runs arent the best thing for your motor. My friend fuc/ded up 3 main bearings and scratched a cylinder wall on his cobra with only 40K miles.

High speed runs will pop your motor... Good catch - I forgot about that... lol - the heat gets to the #7 and 8 cylinder...

 

rite i understand that the top end runs do kill a motor for sure... i just heard ppl and did some reasearch that a cobra will run around 180 to 190. course the aerodynamics are no where near as good asa corvette. also what got me thinking is on the mach 1 forums some one said that the mach 1 with the power to pull the 5th gear to the redline could do 170 to 175 so i knew the cobra would stop that in the dirt and therefor posed the question.

ohh and i never would attempt that speed neways... 130 was enought for me lol

 

I'm sure the speedo only goes to 160 for a reason
