some of the maximas are equal to a mustang (to60) someone said like 6.5 to 6.7 stock! (SE 5spd) and that's what the 5.0's are like, right?

I own a 98 Contour GL with a zetec I4 engine and auto trans. The suspension need to be better, (dropped 1.5 - 2 inches by use of coil overs) but the 0 - 60 is real respectable with it at 6.5. The engine and trans (both auto and 5speed) were designed by Porche. www.contour.org for more info!!

SVT Contours come equipt with the same engine standard. To top that off, they are lighter. So any SHO that could beat an SVT would have to be modified.

If this is true I want to know how they do it. Diff gears or throttle body ETC.

DJ605389 sorry but you are dead wrong. A SHO and contourusecompletly differnt motors. The SHO uses a Yamaha 3.0 V6 DOHC 24 valve220 horsepower 200 lb-ft torque. 0-60 6.6 sec 1/4 mile 15.1 VS svt countours 2.5 v6 which is the SHOs baby sister engine , 1/4 mile 16'swhich uses all duratec engineering. The SVT would need some upgrades to beat a SHO. SHOSHOP.com is where I buy mySHO parts, they also have parts for SVT contours check it out. I wish SVT contours were as fast as SHOs i'd buy one.
