Default check engine light

i was driving on the free way last week and the check engine light came onthen once i got home it turned off. it turned on the the next day on the way to work and went back off a couple of days later and its been acting like that for the past week and a half just on and off every couple of days(its on a lot more then its off tho). i had the oil changed and air filter changed yesterday and they told me it would be 120 bucks for them to see why the check engine light was on i told him that i would go some where eles to have it checked. He did say it was nothing to bad tho, if it was it would be flashing... he thinks it might be a glitch in the o2 sensor. i also herd that if u disconnect the battery it will reset and turn the light off... is this true?

thanks for the help.

Yeah, disconnect the battery for approximately 30 mins. This kind oferases theerror from the computerThis should clear the CELS but they will return after a short while if the problem is not fixed.
