Cobra emblem install?

Default Cobra emblem install?

Just got the emblem today and my JLT RAI. Well for the emblem its a torx, but theirs a peg in the middle, so I cant get the torx in there. Is there a special tool I need to use?

i believe it is like a t-56 torx that is needed, you should be able to get it at any auto parts store, my socket set happened to have one.

I have torx bits, but like right in the center of the torx screw theirs a stud, so I cant fit the torx in it.

Its called a tamper-proof torx bit. Just run to Autozone or Napa and they usually will have it. Ask for tamper-proof torx bit.

Just kinda eye it up with a regular torx bit or if the instructions tell you the size, ask for a tamper-proof torx bit of that size at the autoparts store.

Yep, it's the tamper-proof torx bit. Many people don't know about this one. You should be able to buy the one you need, or a kit, at your local hardware store. I know our local True Value hardware store has them.
