Default New Cobra Owner here

Hey Guys,

So i finally got myself a cobra. Its an '01 convertible, all black. 56k miles and in perfect shape. From what i can tell its pretty much stock except for the 275s in the rear. What do you guys recommend for my first upgrades?

i don't plan on modifying the exhaust currently. it it worth a TB, MAF and intake? also, i have an Xcal2 from my gt which will work on this. will i see any gains since the current tune already is for 93 octane?

Wow that's a good looking Vert
Though I am a little partial. Let me know when you are planning to upgrade the wheels cause I'll take the stockers off of your hands for you [:-]

BTW the VERY first mod should be to get rid of the 4X4 look.

i'm gonna stick with the stockers for a while. i'd rather spend my $$ on engine mods first. the first theing i bought for it was a cobra for the grille, which i think looks awesome.

i was thinking maybe get a CAI and then regear it. its quick with 3.27s but i bet it would be sick with 3.73s.

3.73 is nothing. Your going to want to get 4.10's Many people stil regret not going to 4.30's.

i have 4.10s now in my GT, to me the gears are a little to short. I plan on throwing on a supercharger later on so i think 3.73s would be good. i don't drag race, and i would do some highway driving every so often.

Why don't you want to change the exhaust? That is usually a first mod for the average Cobra owner.
