No IRS? That really sucks. Not everybody likes to drag race; I like road racing (not to be confused with street racing 
) and IRS is almost a must.
The 05 chassis is highly superior to the 30 yr old design of the 03/04 Cobras. If they put IRS on it, it would dominate. Without IRS it's a waste of good chassis, and never be able to compete at Vette levels in terms of handling. You can make a flexy foxbody into an 8 second car, but you can't outlap a Viper on Road America or Laguna Seca without major body work.

Know that the vette has tremendous acceleration due to big cube torque, but the IRS makes it almost impossible to do hole shots.
Also, the vette is a high speed type of car rather than a stoplight racer. When the Cameros were around, they were a better bet for around town horsing around.
The vette is a very large car.
Just know what they are before leaping.

Its also out in this weeks autoweek...calling it the gt 500. I don't like the front end...it looks like the V6 front end...no personality. For that much money and that much horsepower I hope it comes out a little more bad-*** looking.

Well its nice but i think i can wait :-( theres not enough difference in looks from the one out now ....... just horse power .......and the little grn on i had in my avator till today was the 06 shelby
