When to dyno?
hey i have a 2001 cobra and i am about ready to start modding the car. i was wondering if it is ok to get my mods one by one and go ahead and get them installed or should i just get all of them and install them all at once and get them tuned then? if i go the one by one route when should i get the car tuned? i plan on doing the exhaust, CAI, and your basic bolt ons.
ok that was what i was thinking. wanted to make sure tho. i see you have a 01 cobra too what kinda performance gains did you see with your bolt ons? could you feel it when driving the car? thanks for the info
You'll feel the difference more w/ the 4v than a 2v. It's not going to be a huge difference but you can tell for sure from the seat of your pants. With all the bolt-on's you should see over 300 at the wheels after a tune...
I wouldnt put off doing intake/exhaust just to do everything at once. Do those first, then get some gears and a tune (since you will need to get your speedo recalibrated after the gears anyway).
Wait until everything is on your car to get a tune. If you wnat get a base dyno as your car sits now to see what your gains are later. I did my stock 01 and it put down 278 RWHP and 290 RWTQ. Every car is sligher different based on the level of perfection used to build the motor. Some cams are degreed better than others and some heads have less debris in the ports. Numbers will not vary much, but they will vary.
I would go w/ 4.10's. Some will say 4.30's but 4.10's is a great gear for highway driving.
