ported blower, yes or no?
I have an 04 cobra with intake, exhaust, 2.75 pulley, heat exchanger, irs brace, and a tune. I'm being real specific here lol. I'm making 455rwh right now. I'm thinking about porting my blower. Now, this car is my daily driver so i want to keep it as reliable as possible. How much power do you think this will add? and will i have to worry about anything breaking? and who do you recommend to do the job? I hear that stiegemeier is pretty good. I would do the stage IV if i went with them. I've heard from some people that they didn't see much gain at all. What do you guys think?

a stagemeier ported eaton is a good one. I would highly recommmend it. U can gain up to 50 rwhp with the stage IV ported blower. There is really no danger in breaking anything, infact, a ported blower works a good more efficiently with higher boost levels, than a stock blower does. Anyone that did no see much gain with the ported blower, either, didnt get their blower ported by a professionally, or they just didnt get it ported correctly.

I had a steigemier stage 4 ported supercharger and my car wasnt any faster. I say save up for a twin screw or just add more boost. I had that on my car for 1 month before I changed. What a waste of money.

some peoples cars just don't respond to certain things as well as others, thats one thing about hand built engines, with the ported stuff ii am running now i am one of the highes powered eaton cars around here. back on just the pulley intake exhaust tune with a 2.76 i was only making 447 while other cars out here on the sam are maing 460-480. just some cars take certain things better. although i have never seen anyone see no gain form a steggie eaton, so that kind of strange. did you have a maf adjuster and fuel mods to go with the port?

I have a stage 2 port by steig and wish I had done a IV. Go for it I have a 3.0 upper and 6#lower 486 at wheels in 95 degree weather and a bad clutch. The SC whines like a SOB after porting.
