Had a rattle coming from the rear trunk area so I took out all the panels and the spare tire - to make a long story short I found a problem with one of the panels. Anyway, when I had the spare tire out I saw there were two or three small circular holes where the spare tire fits. Are these holes supposed to be plugged or are they meant to be open???

 

if they are on the trunk floor under the tire they are meant to be there. usually the are not real big and oen though. i think the are meant to let liquid drain if any gets in there.

 

Thanks, they are pretty small and under the tire... just curious about whether they should have a plug in them or not. I guess if water gets in it'll go right back out.
