Default best mods!

I just got my 99 Svt Cobra and trying to figure out if i got the fix done to it? Does anyone know how to find out? Now for the real question: What are the best mods i can put into the car to see a good bang for the buck?

go to a dealership. They can run your Vin and find out if the 'fix' has been done.

Mods (the short list):
1 - Midpipe/Catback
2 - option 1: Blower
- option 2: Lots of GEAR (4.10minimum)

My understanding is 99 4v do not like boost, that you will kill the engine. Am I wrong?

Just don't throw a lot at it and don't rag on it after every light and it'll be fine...

most kits for the 99/01's stick to 9psi intercooled, or 5psi non-intercooled. Just like any other major power-adder, you dont know what the life expectancy of your engine is going to be. People have run 7-9psi on stock blocks for 50k miles without problems, others run into major trouble within a couple months. Just because you 'might' destroy the rods/pistons doesnt mean that the engine doesnt respond very well to boost. They LOVE it..... they just got weak internals from the factory. A rebuild with forged components is a great idea for someone wanting to go byone 9psi, or wants an added measure of security.

SCT Xcal 2 on the programmer, but it doesnt matter what company you go with you can only get so much out of a can'ed tune.... especially if you want to put ablower on like you stated in your other thread. You need to contact your local tuner and find out what they use. It would suck to buy an SCT only to find out they use Diable instead.
