Headers?

Default Headers?

I have an 04 cobra with intake, exhaust, 2.76 pulley, and a tune. Do you guys think long tube headers will give me much power? Some people say that unless your pushing around 600 horsepower, headers will not do much. you might even lose low endpower. right now i'm at 455rwh. What do you guys think?

u "might" loose a little bit of low end torque, but u'll make up for it on top end horsepower. but i wouldnt get headers until ur seeing over 500 rwhp. Stock manifolds are not so horrible....

You don't need them until you are 700+. There's a big write-up over at modularfords about this topic. The tests revealed that the stock mani's were plenty. When I re-built my engine and went with a whipple I went with the Bassani Mid-Lengths because the engine was out of the car and I had a bassani X so they would mate up right.

I agree, I got longtubes and for the cost they just arent really worth it for the little performance gain you get from them. Theres hellion turbo cobras running stock manifolds so they cant be to bad.
