I bought a IRS out of an 03 Ccobra with plans to install it in my fox body. The guy told me the diff has 3.55 gears and 31 spline axles. is this a stock set up? if so do you think its best to have an aftermarket unit installed? my car is a street car with rare trips to the drag strip. i plan on supercharging my 347 with hopes of 400-500 hp and im worried the rear end thats in there now wont be strong enough.

 

that is a stock 03 setup. before you do anything else, put an IRS brace on it. www.billetflow.com If you can keep from wheel-hopping, you should be fine. There is another thread herewithin the last week about building an IRS.
