well i popped the hood on my 04 today and heard a little ticking noise. from what ive heard this could be bad. the car has 38,000 miles on it and i just bought it. what can i do to check if this is the dreaded "head tic" noise? thank you everyone

 

just take it to the dealership. some terminators had a recall for the "head tic". see if urs is one of them

 

i hope their honest, i dont like dealerships really. how will they be able to tell. even with the warranty gone will they fix it?

 

yes, even with no warranty, they will still fix a recall....

 

No Recall on termie head tic. thats a fact. you have to replace heads if you dont like the tic. pm XxKazpxX he knows more than me. *sighs*

 

i looked for that name in the directory, no one listed. what can i do myself to see if its the heads. i pray its not. i had a 2000 Gt that was improperly tuned and the motor blew. will a screwdriver up to the headbolts be able to fix it. also will an extended warranty cover the problem if this is it? thanks everyone

 

are you sure its not the injectors you are hearing?

 

I may be completely wrong, but I thought 04s were fixed? I just thought I read that somewhere, probably wrong.[8D]

 

i guess they were fixed but ive been hearing alot about them noises. its like a tick/click noise? how could it be injectors?

 

Nevermind, sorry, they definitely hadn't fixed it until 2005. I don't know where I got that 03s were the ones with the issue and that 04s were fixed. Just ignore me. I'm still learning my way around SVT world.
